Is it me or does anyone else have problems with top link of the 3pt hitting the tool box in the back? I have bent the tool box holder and finally have removed what I originally thought was a great idea.

Somebody awhile back mentioned using short sections of large PVC drain pipe strapped to the ROPS for carrying tools. That seemed like pretty good idea. When I get tired of forgetting about tools in the bucket, dumping them, and covering them up, I'll probably rig up something like that. Since I forget about tools in the bucket, I'll have to remind myself to put a cap on the bottom of the pipe. There's really not a lot of free space behind most tractors after the range of 3ph motion is taken out. Besides, a tool box on the back means climbing between the tractor and implement to look for tools--not a good idea unless the tractor is shut down everything sat on the ground etc. ....

My 88 JD-750 did not come with a tool box. I took an ammo can, and u-bolted it to the ROPS, on the outside, with a couple wraps of innertube rubber to protect the paint and absorb vibration. Cheap, easily accessible, requires no modification to the tractor, and water tight. ....
